The American Listening Initiative is dedicated to the idea that the best way to show respect for someone is to listen – really listen – to them. We are a group of researchers who believe that democracy works best when politicians and political parties treat voters and each other with respect. But too often, politicians and parties just talk at voters, and each other. We want to change that. So we're here to listen. Respectfully.
